The Fair Standards Alliance (FSA) and The App Association (ACT) sent a letter to the Chairs, Proposers and Participants to the CEN-CENELEC Workshop Agreement titled “Principles and guidance for licensing Standard Essential Patents in 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT), including the Industrial Internet” (CWA1). This letter expresses concerns and issues regarding this draft CWA1.
As announced, the App Association (ACT) and the Fair Standards Alliance (FSA) established a CEN CENELEC Workshop to examine the licensing of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) in Europe, in particular in the field of 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT). This workshop will be published in the coming months.
