About this event

In December 2021, the US Department of Justice announced that it would welcome comments on a new Draft Policy Statement on Licensing Negotiations and Remedies for Standards-Essential Patents Subject to F/RAND Commitments.

This webinar will discuss various aspects of the Draft Policy Statement, including how the new statement brings the US Government’s policy in line with the prevailing case law on the role of injunctions in SEP licensing disputes.

Join us to hear from a panel that will offer perspectives from industry as well as law and economics academia on the positive aspects of the Draft Policy Statement, and areas where the statement could be improved.

Moderated by Khushita Vasant, Senior Antitrust Correspondent, MLex Market Insight, the panel will feature:

  • Dan Lang, Vice President, Intellectual Property and Deputy General Counsel, Cisco
  • Kent Baker, Head of Intellectual Property, u-blox
  • Dr. Erik Hovenkamp, USC Gould School of Law; Harvard Law School
  • Dr. Christian Helmers, Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University

The event is open to everyone interested. Advance registration required: REGISTER NOW.

Dial-in details will be shared with registered attendees.
